Meeting, and Perspective
When they arrived in the system, Alexandür had assumed that they had merely fled, running to the next hiding place, to prepare for the next strike. But then, with his sensor operators giving him the direction that it would seem they had left in, he was left with a decision. The direction was up, relative to the galactic plane, which was odd enough in and of itself. This particular system was already outside the usual orbits of the systems of this galaxy, but the direction of their warp went even further out.
He knew that there were few REAL hiding places in that direction, holding naught but clusters of asteroid

Once again, Aulus received the warning of an incoming fleet, not two weeks after the last fleet action, and decided instantly to run. “Alert the orbital ring. Abandon ship in anything warp-capable, and get us out-system, now.”
“Sir?”
“The incoming fleet would NOT be incoming if they didn’t have a severe numbers or fleet design advantage. So we’ve got to get out, and figure out what our next move is.”
“Yes, sir. Orders sent.”
The young admiral sighed, and began issuing orders, how the fleet was to be organized, what the best direction to go was, and which wa

Defeat, and Confusion
Alex’s fleet limped back to a single massive nebula orbiting a fair-sized main-sequence star, a wide disk of gas and dust which would one day form the mass of an entire solar system, planets and asteroids and star systems, but which today was merely a staging area for resource gathering. This particular nebula was, for the moment, empty. The battles in the ‘immediate’ vicinity of the system led corporations to pull out their stake until they determined who the ruling body would be.
And thus it made a perfect place to lick wounds and formulate another strategy.

The two blades of light made solid clashed with sparks and tossed away gleams of red and orange, the sparring swords sizzling for just a moment before disengaging. Aulus smirks at his sparring partner, flicking his blade in a short circle, as though to throw off imaginary blood, pressing forward off his back foot, attacking once again. Tempest, the woman behind the red blade, parried the aggressive move with a shift of her wrist, and pushed his blade aside, spinning elegantly on one foot and bringing the blade around, aiming to tap him lightly on the back of the neck. Alexandür stepped down the hall of the Adectu Military headquarters, a soft gold line glowing on the floor which he followed through the massive building of steel and carbon allotropes, finally ending up in a small meeting room, one wall of which held a 2-d rotating image of the Liberty. His boss, an old Fleet Admiral who had finally given up on Nanotechnical augmentations to his looks, merely focusing on keeping his brain functioning until he finally decided to retire. A young man stands atop a dais in the center of a massive complex, where hundreds of people directed hundreds of trillions of nanobots, his blue eyes alight with an ambitious fire. The room’s gravity was about to be disabled for the sake of increasing productivity, and as it is, he floats up to the ceiling, crawling to a hatch to the next floor, and sinks back into gravity, satisfied that the work was being done correctly. He hauls himself to his feet, adjusting the fit of his vacsuit over his hands, mentally, and flicks the nanomatrix to his relaxed clothing, all light gray with his rank tab- an elegant snake curled in a spiral around

Contact, and Questions (Adectu: Origins Chapter 1)
Alexandür Aurelius was not the first man to achieve his sort of fame amongst his people. Not by a longshot. Many authors, and artists, and actors and players in one game or sport or another had achieved more wide-ranging fame and more control over the goings-on than he had. Indeed, his fame was relatively small even in comparison to some of the contemporary celebrities. But he was the first military man to achieve that status, which led to some quite interesting problems, and bonuses.
In most militaristic terms, a hero wasn’t a bad thing. It led to hundreds of thousands of people across the entire galaxy petitioning for an officer

Fame, and Glory (Adectu: Genesis prologue)
Fame, and Glory
Their archaic scientists could trace their world’s history back centuries. The way that the planet moved and orbited their star was quite unique. It did not match a flat plane the way that Earth’s system did. Well, the home planet didn’t. Though the gas giants and the other, smaller terrestrial planets matched a single plane, their planet- the original name long lost to the annals of history- had quite an interesting orbit. It sat almost perpendicular to the other orbits, spiraling around the star in a quite contradictory way. The scientists theorize that this planet’s original system, and its original

I never thought I’d be addicted to anything,
But here I am, obsessed with the way you
Word your messages at 2 in the morning
And how you live in your own little world
Most of the time because life is boring.
I never thought I’d grow apart from you,
Just like I never imagined in a thousand years
That I’d go to sleep picturing that smile
That I used to see so often
And how much more you probably smile now
Without me.
I never thought I’d know true loneliness
Until the day you first said that
You were too busy for me,
And all of those times when I was left crying on my bed
Because you were somewhere else
Or because you
A Pirate Makes a Poem:
Apparently all it takes
Ta get ye works ta slake
Is a simple scheme o' rhyme
Which takes a minute o' time
Perhaps I'll do the same
It's fair ta play this game
No meanin' in tha words
They just flop around like birds
"Oh this stuff it speaks to me!"
Really is that true?
I'm afraid ye might be daft me thinks
Ye certainly be loose a screw
For if works do not have meanin'
Then they're simply done and dull
I think I'd rather spend me time
Playin' dice in a golden skull
I suppose that what tha people want
Is a simple kind o' style
One that looks as good as ale
But tastes like bricks and bile
"Now then lad
